LASER VISION CORRECTION

Laser Vision Correction is a safe and effective procedure to get rid of your contacts and glasses.

Our office provides free Laser Vision Correction consultations. We have purchased all the equipment to do laser evaluations, corneal shape (topography), and follow up care on laser patients. As a current patient with an established record, you will save both time and money by doing the procedure through our office.

We strongly believe that Laser Vision Correction will be the major method of vision correction in the next ten years. Many of our patients have had the procedure, in fact, two of our wives (who were very nearsighted), are now "glasses free" following Laser Correction.

Our Laser Correction Package includes the following:
1. Pre-Laser Screenings and testing.
2. No charge post operative visits for six months. Typically, the post operative visits
are done at:  one day one week two months 6 months
3. All other follow up visits that are necessary to evaluate your laser result for the first six months.
4. One box of lubrication drops.
5. We will remake the lenses in your current glasses into plastic, single vision sunglasses or readers.Flat-top 28 plastic bifocals are included. (Progressives, Transitions, and Photograys are excluded
but will be discounted to 30%).
7. Enhancements (we match the pre-post care with the policy of the refractive surgeon).

It has been stated that the number one factor preventing patients from performing Laser Vision Correction is fear. We attest to the safety of this procedure. We and our experienced staff will help you through the process at every phase.

Laser Vision Correction Information:

For most myopic (nearsighted) and astigmatism patients, Laser Vision Correction can reduce dependence upon corrective lenses, allowing a degree of freedom and lifestyle enhancement unimaginable until recently.
There are several ways that your vision can be corrected, including:
1. Glasses .
2. Contact Lenses.
3. Radial Keratotomy (RK).
4. Laser Vision Correction.

Thousands of doctors and millions of patients have discovered Laser Vision Correction as a safe and effective alternative to the other available methods.

Here are a few facts about laser vision correction:
* Laser Vision Correction is a non-invasive procedure that uses a beam of cool light to reshape the top layer (less than 10%) of your cornea, so that images focus correctly on the retina.
* Laser Vision Correction is entirely different from Radial Keratotomy (RK), as RK is a surgical procedure that involves a series of freehand incisions on the cornea.
* Laser Vision Correction has been performed on nearly five million eyes since 1987.
* The FDA approved Laser Vision Correction in the United States in November 1995.
* The laser centers we work with have performed several thousand procedures since January, 1995.
* Most Laser Vision Correction patients can return to work between 24 and 48 hours after the procedure.
* Almost all patients, report that there was "no pain" during and after the procedure.
* Possible risks and side effects (including vision fluctuations, haze, or glare) are usually temporary and diminish within 3-5 days. Note, these symptoms are less for the Lasik method.
* Laser Vision Correction is affordable for all through a Vision Financing Plan: Patient Financing Program.

We have observed and managed about 700 laser refractive cases from the Longmont area. We have completed extensive classroom and clinical training in refractive surgery and take several laser refraction courses per year to keep you, our patient, in touch with the latest laser technology. This includes the medications we use to treat laser patients and other new related technologies in development. We have purchased the Humphrey Autorefractor (prescription and shape mapper) and Corneal Topographer (3D dimension mapper) to provide you immediate feedback on the condition of your eye. We have used fifteen different laser refractive surgeons and can objectively recommend the best surgeon for you. Together we provide you personalized care and convenient appointments for your laser follow up exams.
